CLASSIC GOLF

CLASSIC GOLF is a quick-play game that lets players replay actual tournaments. Here is your chance to recreate history. How would Tom Watson fare against Jack Nicklaus in a repeat of their famous 1982 U.S. Open duel at Pebble Beach? Could Tiger repeat his incredible run of six consecutive victories over the 2000-2001 seasons? These and other questions wait to be answered. Players are rated according to scoring average, top-10 finishes, and winning percentages. Tournaments are rated according to actual course

 statistics for a given year. Players can have hot and cold streaks. Weather can impact the tournament field at varying times. An action chart and a pair of dice determine a player’s 18-hole score for a round, but on the final day, the top players can attempt a rally to catch-up or put away the field. You can complete a four-round tournament in as little as two hours. Replay complete seasons or create your own circuit. Play medal or match-play formats. Use the inter-year feature for all-time great tournaments

PAR FOR THE COURSE GOLF

Par for the Course Golf is a tabletop sports simulation game using cards and dice designed with the tournament replayer in mind. There are two modes of play: a round-by-round engine that simulates a round score for each golfer based usually on one roll of the dice and a hole-by-hole engine that generates a score for each hole the golfer plays (again usually on just one roll of the dice). Golf courses also have an effect on both modes of play, so easy courses will play easy whereas difficult courses will have higher scores, plus individual holes have their own effects.

ASG Golf PC Game is an excellent Computer Golf replay game  and  the only serious Golf replay game for the PC, programmed by Richard Hanna of Roogames.

  ASG Tabletop  Golf is actually two games: a full shot-by-shot version and a Quick Play version. Each golfer is represented by his own card, which recreates his abilities, highlighting his strengths and weaknesses. The same golfer cards are used in both versions of the game.  Each hole of every Quick Play course has its own card. In addition to the result numbers, each card features a small full-color drawing of each hole. The quick play system is seperate to the full game to purchase.

    Also for something a little different you can play a pro career as a Golfer with TOTAL PRO GOLF 2 from Wolverine Studios.

This is a very good game but suffers a little from lack of new things  issued recently - the last updates were in 2007 and the web site where add-ons were available has also now gone. But at its low price its well worth trying out and I enjoyed it for something different - not a replay game.
